Installation of a client / program
The recommended client for using Matrix is called Element and works on different systems and devices:
- Element Web: The h_da browser web application
- Element Desktop: Downloads for Linux/Windows/Mac
- Element mobile: Android/iOS
Element Web
Web-App: chat.fbi.h-da.de
The easiest way is to open the Element Web application directly in a modern browser (e.g. Mozilla Firefox).

Element Desktop
Downloads for: Windows macOS Linux
Instead of using a browser tab the installation of the program Element on your own computer is recommended. Here you can keep the overview independently of the browser (however, also take care of the updates of the program).

Element Mobile
Downloads for: Android (Google Play) iOS (iPhone/iPad) Android (F-Driod)
To access Matrix on the road, a mobile Element client on the smartphone is also available when necessary.
